ASIA MINOR TOUR (9 DAYS - 8 NIGHTS) 
 

DAY 1: HOME - ISTANBUL (D) 
Arrive at Istanbul . At the airport, all of the ladies will have fresh flowers and the gentlemen will have souvenir as a present by ATABERK TRAVEL and transfer to hotel and check-in. During the key distribution “a welcome cocktail” will be served. Dinner and overnight will be at hotel.

DAY 02: ISTANBUL (B,L)

After breakfast at hotel, full day tour of Istanbul featuring Hippodrome where chariot races used to take place, Sultan Ahmet Mosque (Blue Mosque), which is the famous with its delicate blue ceramic tiles and its unique six minarets, St. Sophia Museum an ancient basilica which is one of the architectural marvels of all time with its immense dome rising 55 meters above the ground and 31 meters in a diameter. Visit to Topkapi Palace (Treasury and Harem Sections are not included!) from which The Ottoman Empire was governed for four centuries. Dinner will be at famous Old Bazaar named Çiçek Pasajı in Beyoglu ( extra ). 
 
DAY 03: ISTANBUL (B,L)
 
After a short visit to the famous Egyptian Spice Market Bazaar embark on a Cruise along the Bosporus .  Disembark at Sariyer and have lunch than drive to the Asian Part of Istanbul . Visit to Yeditepe Hill for a panoramic view of the city. Also visit to Beylerbeyi Palace the summer resident of the Ottoman Sultans. Dinner will be at famous autantic place named Kumkapı ( extra ). Overnight will be at hotel.

DAY 04: ISTANBUL – BURSA -IZMIR (B,L,D) 
Drive to Bursa, the first capital city of the Ottoman Empire . Visit to Green Mosque, Green Mausoleum Ulu Mosque and Silk Bazaar. Drive to Bergama and visit to the Acropolis, once a great center of culture. Visit to Asclepion which was a sanctuary dedicated to the God of Health Asclepios, remains of the Celebrated Library, the monumental Altar of Zeus. Dinner and overnight will be at hotel in Izmir .

DAY 05: IZMIR - PAMUKKALE (B,L,D)  
Drive to the ancient city of Ephesus . Visit the ruins of Agora, Kuretes Street, Temple of Domitian, Library of Celsius. Also visit the Basilica of St. John who came here with the Virgin Mary and wrote his Gospel, the Shrine of Virgin Mary where she is believed to have spent her last years. Continue to Pamukkale ( Cotton Castle ) a unique formation of petrified calcium cliffs. Visit also to the next located antic city Hierapolis . Dinner and overnight will be at hotel in Pamukkale.

 

DAY 06: PAMUKKALE- KONYA - CAPPADOCIA (B,L,D) 
Early morning departure for Konya . Visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana, the founder of the sect of whirling Dervishes and the 13th Century Theological School of Karatay . Continue to Cappadocia . Dinner will be served at hotel. 
 
DAY 07: CAPPADOCIA (B,L)
 
Full day Cappadocia tour begins with the Natural Citadel of Uchisar, which will enable you to get a panoramic view of the region and continues with the Göreme Valley which is the highlight of the day. This valley houses, The Göreme Open Air Museum with its churches hewn out of rock and colorful frescoes which decorate them. Continue to Underground City of Kaymakli or Ozkonak, which was used by Christians of the 7th century as places of retreat in order to escape persecution. Dinner will be in old historical cave with a traditional Turkish night ( extra ). Overnight will be at hotel in Cappadocia . 

DAY 08: CAPPADOCIA – ANKARA - ISTANBUL (B,L,D) 
Morning departure to Ankara . Lunch and visit to the Mausoleum of Ataturk, founder of the Turkish Republic . Then departure to Istanbul and transfer to the hotel. Dinner will be served at hotel. Overnight in Istanbul . 

DAY 9: ISTANBUL - HOME (B) 
After breakfast transfer to airport for homebound flight.
